Good Friday Morning! I hope you had a great week! It is hard to believe it’s already one week into December! I don’t know where all the time goes.
It feels like only yesterday we were rushing around trying to get all the kids’ school supplies together! Now, they are gearing up for Christmas Break! Wow… I need to find a way to slow time down! Not just to relax and enjoy some rose smelling time, but because I feel like my kids are growing way to fast and I’m missing it! Every hug and kiss seems a little sweeter these days. I cherish them all!
Advent started this past Sunday. A time to reflect on the “Reason for the Season!” A time to think about everything that has gone on in the past year and ponder what God has been up to. I’m sitting here this morning listing to Harry Belafonte sing about Mary and the birth of my Savior and I can’t help but feel guilty that I have been so caught up in the business of the Christmas season that I haven’t taken the time to be thankful for everything that has been given FOR me! Not what has been given TO me but FOR me! Jesus was born FOR the redemption of my sins. FOR the redemption of mankind.
This Christmas, take some time and reflect on everything that has been given FOR you!
